The Verona

A piece that looks as though it has been shaped by something larger — wind, water, the patient hand of a maker who let the clay lead. Spiralling furrows wrap the body in slow motion, each ridge catching the light a little differently as the day moves around it.

The surface is the whole of its character: rough where you expect smooth, soft where you expect rough. Tones drift between sand, bone, and faint terracotta — a finish that quiets a planted corner rather than competing with it.

Plant it generously — boxwood, lavender, an olive sapling — or leave the form to speak for itself. Set against weathered stone or aged timber, it settles in as though it has always been there.
